Inspirus Checking: Stop Payments

You can place a stop payment on a draft that has not cleared your account by logging into Digital Banking and selecting the ADDITIONAL SERVICES widget. Then select Stop Payment. On the right side of the screen, select New Stop Pay Request. Complete the information, read and agree to the Stop Payment Policy by checking the box in front of I AGREE. Press the Submit Request. There is a $25.00 fee for placing a stop payment.

The most convenient way to stop a payment on a check is via your digital banking account. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Log into your Digital Banking account

  2. Along the left side of the screen are your account widgets. Click the one titled “More” at the bottom of the list and then select the ADDITIONAL SERVICES widget.

  3. In the gray bar area, you will see the “Stop Payment” option (shown by default), click the red button on the right side titled “New Stop Pay Request.”

  4. Fill out the necessary fields on the displayed form.

  5. It is recommended that you review the “Stop Payment Policy” by clicking the associated link at the bottom of the form.

  6. If you agree with the terms of the Stop Payment Policy, click into the box next to the “I Agree” label.

  7. Finally, click the Submit Request button in the bottom right area of the form.

To place a stop payment on an electronic (ACH) withdrawal: There is a $25.00 fee. Please call Member Service at 206 628 4010 or toll free at 1 888 628 4010. We are available to help you Monday through Friday from 7:30am until 5:30pm.

A CO-OP Shared Branching Outlet CANNOT accept a stop payment request on your checking account. YOU MUST CONTACT YOUR OWN CREDIT UNION. If you need to place a stop payment on a check you obtained from the CO-OP Shared Branching Outlet such as a cashier’s check, money order or official check, you must contact the CO-OP Shared Branching Outlet where you obtained the check. There will be a waiting period not to exceed 90 days before funds can be released. You may be required to complete an indemnity agreement. Please refer to the Member Fee Schedule.
